Tenuta Fernanda Cappello

Fernanda Cappello, an architect by training, manages 135 hectares in the North of the D.O.C. Friuli Graves area, at the foothills of the Friuli Dolomites. 126 hectares are planted to vine, on the "Magredi" limestone soils that give the wines of this region their unique flavor and minerality. The family owned estate is in their third genaration of production. The first release was in 1969. Enea De Ponte is the viticulturist and takes a sustainable approach to managing the vineyards. Fernanda Cappello heads the team of oenologists and takes pride in her green approach to wine production that not only respects the environment but is also completely independent of fossil fuels.
