Chateau Tour Saint Vincent

Since 1985 Rémi Lacombe and his family have owned Chateau Tour Saint Vincent in the heart of the MEDOC Appellation. They have invested significant sums over the last five years, replanting vines in ideal conditions, and have the developed the vineyards into one of the gems of the Medoc. All of the work has started to pay off as with each vintage the wines continue to improve.

Soil: Chalky-clay.

Location: The vineyard is located in the town of Saint Christoly-Médoc.

Average age of the vineyard: 25 years

Grape varieties: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon / 40% Merlot

Classical vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. Long maceration. Pneumatic pressing.

Nice dark red colour with violet hints. The bouquet is full of cooked prunes (plum jam) and of blackcurrant coulis aromas with coffee notes. The attack is round and particularly generous. Very present tannins, without being agressive, which accompanies all the tasting. Very good aromatic persistency.

"A rich and smooth wine, this is packed with black fruits that are touched with smoky tannins from the wood aging. It’s full, fruity and structured on the palate. It will age over at least 5–6 years, but, with its rich texture, it will be drinkable soon." ~ 90, Editors Choice, Wine Enthusiast March 2013
